Typo Ex, AN EXHIBITION OF Typographic Expressionism

Typo Ex, An Exhibition of Typographic Expressionism is a series inspired by Abstract Expressionism and grunge typography of the revolutionary music publication, Ray Gun. While those movements influence the medium, I drew from personal struggles and emotions for the subject matter. Ultimately, Typo Ex captures the tension between person and system, human and machine, emotion and structure. It’s an ongoing attempt to reclaim mental and creative space within the status quo of modern existence.
